2018 goals

After reflecting on 2017, I have come up with some goals I would like to work towards for the year of 2018. Here are the main goals I came up with for the new year:

Travel

This year I would love to travel more. I would like to do one larger trip and a couple smaller trips. For my main trip I want to travel Europe with friends.  I was thinking Barcelona, Spain or Portugal.  For smaller trips, I was thinking a 4 night inclusive trip and a weekend NYC trip.

Health

I want to find balance with my diet so that I can maintain a healthy body all year around. I don’t want to binge on unhealthy food and I want to choose healthier options. I want to aim to do at least 30 minutes of cardio 5x a week.  Lastly, I would like to find more motivation and work harder during my workouts.

Mental Health

I want to get a handle on my anxiety. I want to try and worry less about things and live in the moment. I want to do things that step out me out of my comfort zone.  For example, I need to drive more, travel somewhere alone and speak my thoughts. I have a tough time opening up and talking about my feelings to those who are closest to me. This is something I would really like to work on this year.

Get my G license

Driving has been something that I have really put off the last few years. I have my g2 but have hardly drove in the 5 years. My license expires if I don’t write my G test by December 2018. I need to practice as much as possible this year, so I am comfortable to write my G test before Dec. I have never driven alone so I need to take the car and start going places on my own.

Self Growth

This year I would like to grow as much as possible as a person. I want to excel with my career and want to really figure out what my career goals are and what I fore see for my self in the future. I don’t want to live in Kingston my whole life so I need to look deeper into my path and see if I am on the right track.

I want to live a cleaner and more organized life. I want to tidy up my room, my workspace and everyday things on a more regular basis. I would like to minimalize my belonging ands downsize the amount of clothes I have.

I would like to read more books, write more and learn new things, so I can constantly develop as a person.

I would like to use less social media, and be more present in my everyday life. I would like to build closer relationships with the people in my life.

Save more money

Living at home has allowed me to save quite a bit of money, but I would like to be able to buy a house and move out in the next year or so. I would like to budget more and spend money on things that are important to me rather than useless spending. I would like to add more money to my investment on a regular basis.
